Startup Platforms (Platformy Startowe)

If the product of your start-up is at a stage not more advanced than MVP, Startup Platforms may be the right program for you.

Startup Platforms program is aimed at founders who are at an early stage of their business adventure planning to develop their business idea under an individual incubation plan, followed by non-refundable grants offered under the program (up to PLN 2.6 million in total).

The fundamental critetion for participation in the program and obtaining funding is having innovative business idea (innovation at a minimum on a national scale is required) and organizational potential to realize this innovative idea (in pracice strong team of founders).

The Startup Platforms program consists of three components

As part of Component I, the founder has the opportunity to benefit from services offered by Startup Platform operators, which include both basic support such as access to office space, accounting, legal, tax, and marketing services, as well as more specialized services that help with product development or business model validation. When choosing a Startup Platform for your idea (there are 6 operators of the program), it is essential to look at specializations or industry preferences of a given operator of Startup Platform.

The goal of the incubation program (it takes some 6 months) is to bring the founder’s startup idea to the MVP stage. The result of successfull completion of the incubation process is a report allowing the startup to apply for the grant of up to PLN 600,000 under Component IIa.

Under Component IIa, start-ups already operating in the form of a company and having a report on the incubation process can apply for the grant of up to PLN 600,000, with a mandatory 15% equity contribution.

Since there is a Component IIa that means there is also a Component IIb. Component IIb makes it possible to obtain non-refundable financing of up to PLN 2 million, also with an obligatory own contribution of 15%.
